Over the last several months the City of Glenwood Springs and RFTA having been working with a consultant team to study current traffic, transit, and parking patterns within the City to create a plan that manages growing impacts over a 20 year horizon. There will be upcoming opportunities to learn more about the study and provide feedback on meeting agenda items:
A meeting with the Downtown Development Authority Board and representatives from the City on Tuesday, January 5th at 2:00.
The City Council during its regular meeting on Thursday, January 7th will consider recommendations from the Transportation Commission regarding the local bus system, transportation demand management and locations of bus transfer facilities, as it relates to the study.
Both meetings will be conducted by Zoom (meeting links below).
Discussion topics will include:
Potential alignments for an extension of the Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) service through town.
Suggestions to address parking concerns.
There will be other opportunities in the future to weigh-in, but it’s important to hear your voice.
